DTF File Upload Recommendations

To ensure the best results for your DTF printing and DTF gang sheet orders, please carefully follow the file upload recommendations below. Proper file setup is essential for sharp details, accurate colors, and high-quality DTF transfers.

Recommended File Formats

  • PNG (preferred)

  • PDF

Files must have transparent backgrounds. Backgrounds that are not removed may print as solid areas.

Resolution & Image Quality

  • 300 DPI (required)

  • High-resolution artwork only

  • Avoid screenshots or low-quality images

Low-resolution files may appear pixelated or blurry when printed.

Color Mode

  • RGB color mode

  • Avoid CMYK files unless properly converted

Colors may vary slightly depending on fabric color and heat press settings.

Artwork Size & Scaling

  • Upload artwork at actual print size

  • Avoid resizing artwork inside the builder excessively

  • Do not stretch images beyond their original resolution

Recommended minimum sizes:

  • Small logos: 2–3 inches wide

  • Chest prints: 9–11 inches wide

  • Large designs: 12–14 inches wide

Background & Transparency

  • All artwork must have transparent backgrounds

  • No white or colored backgrounds unless intentionally part of the design

  • Check edges carefully for leftover pixels

Text & Design Details

  • Avoid text smaller than 8 px

  • Avoid extremely thin lines or fine details

  • Bold, clean designs produce the best DTF print quality

Do NOT Mirror Artwork

  • Do not mirror your designs

  • All artwork should be uploaded in normal reading orientation

File Review Responsibility

EMBprint prints exactly what you upload. Customers are responsible for:

  • Artwork quality

  • Spelling and alignment

  • Correct sizing

We are not responsible for print issues caused by incorrect or low-quality files.
